Capes, shawls and stoles, warm and snug, are the new outerwear. Essential when travelling around as they are easy to match to denim and sneakers and very useful to cover your shoulders and your neck by sudden gusts of wind or air conditioning often “shot” on trains and planes. You can choose neutral or bright colours: the important thing is to match them accurately to be always très chic!
During my trips I always take with me my inseparable stole by IJO’ Design, that can be used both as a scarf or as a shawl. It is made in a fine and sophisticated weave of black silk on old looms. A passepartout that you can match with any outfit, from morning to evening. I’ve also worn it during the interview with Enrico Lo Verso, on a silk blouse of a shiny yellow gold, a vintage piece by Montana to which I’m really attached as it makes me feel at ease on every occasion. And, inspired by the short film that Lo Verso has shot with Sophia Loren, I choose to show this refined article of the new collection IJO’ Design in a pose which was a bit scenic.
Well, it was available exclusively for me by Annalisa Surace, soul of this brand that focuses on comfort but also on exclusivity of patterns and materials. It shows the weave of the stole at its best, finely handmade on exquisite woven on old looms, that nicely fit on the body resulting in simple geometrical shapes, like all the IJO’ Design creations, real contemporary tapestries. They recall the education of its creator, who holds a degree in Architecture Master in Design at the Domus Academy in Milano.
And that’s not all… Annalisa will dress me with her beautiful and refined silk dresses in the next social occasions of my trips, but that’s another story. And I’ll have all the time to tell it!
