Do you know when you are having an amazing dream and at the best part you are woken up? The immediate intention is to be able to go back to sleep hoping to start again to resume the abruptly interrupted dream. Well all this happened to us but … with our eyes open!
At the Glamping Canonici of San Marco
A year and a half ago we lived our wonderful experience in one of the luxury tent of the Glamping Canonici di San Marco and we told it to you in the post In tent but at 5 stars!. This year, in mid-September, we were able to redo glamping thanks to the voucher received as a gift at Christmas for our activity to promote the structure.
What to say? A great satisfaction that allowed us, to return to the initial metaphor, to resume our beautiful dream guests this time of the welcoming luxury tent Gelso, where the protagonist is a tree at the base of the bed and in the center of the tensile structure.
And if the surprise effect of the first experience lived in the Kaki tent was lacking, this did not come at the expense of the pleasant stay in this oasis of peace that once again guaranteed us a unique experience in an exclusive environment where the care for details reigns supreme.
Indeed, it was even more beautiful and relaxing precisely because we felt welcomed by old friends since Ilaria came to pick us up at the station in Dolo to take us to their destination.
Then we saw and greeted the always smiling Mrs Claudia who, despite the many guests who follow one another in the four tents and the two suites at Glamping, remembered us and above all about me and the little discomfort that didn’t allow me to taste the sumptuous breakfast last year.
But I have abundantly redone this year, tasting the delicious homemade cakes, the croissants with homemade jams and even the savory, which I generally don’t like in the early morning, giving me the taste of the delicious cheeses produced by the dairy same ownership of the structure.
In the Gelso tent, characterized by an almost exclusive use of honey-colored wood, we have found a bottle of Prosecco Doc fresh at the right point awaiting us: a welcome already very much appreciated before.
The novelty we instead wanted to give was the romantic candlelit picnic consumed in the large garden belonging exclusively to our tent, directly under a star-studded sky.
First we walked romantically in the sweet Venetian countryside surrounding the estate immersed in a nature rich in scents in the warm golden light of the September sunset.
On the way back we found the basket ready for our rich and delicious “Chic Pic-Nic”, with snacks based on local products and the vegetable garden: from appetizers with vegetables, salami and artisan cheeses to lasagnette with meat sauce and mushrooms with wine, water, fruit, coffee and, dulcis in fundo, Bussolai and Zaeti, the traditional Venetian sweets.
To welcome our dreams there, just a stone’s throw from the Gelso tent, with its elegant and refined furnishings that reflect the love of travel, a highly characterizing element of the first Glamping born in Italy from an idea by Emanuela Padoan, between the court and the estate with a seventeenth-century barchessa of Villa Pomai-Muneratti, a property that was once part of a former Benedictine abbey.
The name of our soft but resistant “shell”, as already explained, is linked to the tree that supports brilliant vintage chandeliers with glass drops, under which to sleep lying comfortably on the large double bed with a look on nature not only external but also inside and with the emotion of feeling in perfect symbiosis with it.
All the details are well-kept: the wardrobes in different wood essences, the ancient headboard of the inlaid bed, the lamps in palm leaf, the desk re-used as a support base for an original sink in fossilized wood of over 10,000 years and a column coming from Asia that acts as a shower.
It is hard to leave this little paradise, but the pleasant “embrace” that the Glamping reserves for its guests can be found in the garden hidden among the ancient walls, a perfect corner to experience moments of total relaxation in the shadow of the ancient fig tree that dominates it.
And right down there we stopped to chat with Emanuela and Alessandro about the news that will soon await guests in these three hectares where you can sleep under one of the four tents or in one of the two suites in the barchessa, but always in direct contact with the true nature. We already know them but we wait to try them in person and then tell them to you here on the blog.
