Santarosa Relais can be reached almost by getting lost in the maze of alleys, between tall and narrow houses, of the white historic center of Noci. The Relais, which welcomes guests in nine rooms, all different and with an enchanting atmosphere, was housed in the ancient Palazzo Santarosa, of noble and ancient origins.
In Noci, in the heart of the village

Restored respecting the local tradition, its characteristics have been underlined by the work of recovering the past projected into the present. Thus, since the ground floor where the hall, the Santarosa Cafè and the breakfast room are housed, the restoration of the pre-existing architectural elements such as arches and vaults of exposed stone, has proceeded hand in hand with the remodeling of the spaces in the forms and with the materials of the present.
The result are environments in which the new and the old coexist lightly. You can also see it in the rest of the structure with the load-bearing walls in local stone and the barrel or sail vaults, plastered, whitewashed or decorated, which allow the Santarosa Relais not to betray the typicality of the ancient buildings in the historic center of Noci.

And, like an ancient building developed in height and characterized by sloping slopes finished with local stone chiancarelle and brick tiles and terraces paved with local stone chianche, it presents itself to those who arrive, “guided” by the stylized palombella (little dove) chosen as a symbol of the structure.
Three floors, on which the hall, a relaxation area, the bar, the breakfast room, a lounge for conversations and readings, the terrace and a pizzeria also open to external customers are distributed. A comfortable lift saves you from the effort of climbing the steep staircase that leads to the upper floors and to the rooms where, in harmony with the spirit of the place, the simplicity of the materials and furnishings with a modern design prevails that give the environment an atmosphere refined and elegant.
To ours, the Camera dell’Angolo, is accessed through the Salotto Cardinale, the area dedicated to conversation and consultation of house books, which overlooks a welcoming veranda, the ideal place to entertain oneself while sipping a drink, a cocktail or a liqueur.
In the room, lots of white and exposed light wood, which instill an instant serenity. The inspiration for this hotel in the heart of Noci is deliberately intimate with functional and comfortable furnishings that fill the spaces with authentic warmth. The result is a Relais without exaggeration or ostentatious luxuries even if in fact nothing is missing: in our room there is a comfortable bed, desk, armchair and bathroom with comfortable shower, all gathered under the suggestive exposed stone vault that highlights the ancient construction techniques.
On the third floor there is the spacious terrace with an amazing panoramic view, perfect for enjoying breakfast or spending pleasant moments of relaxation, but which we could not enjoy as we arrived late in the evening and it was already dark and in the morning breakfast is was served in the room to comply with the new rules imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
So, together with our Otto, we enjoyed the moment of awakening and our delicious breakfast in the room, which made us appreciate even more the simple and harmonious welcome of the Santarosa Relais, also reserved for our four-legged friends of all sizes.
The final impact? A beautiful period story brought back to the present, which does not forget its origins but remodels them according to the most modern needs, providing comfort and a harmonious welcome.
