It is called Acqua del Giglio the new cosmetic line, one hundred percent Italian, of natural products born in May on the island and inspired by the Mediterranean tradition.
From the nature of the island the ingredients for the products of Acqua del Giglio
It is born in Giglio, the most pristine Tuscan Archipelago, where land and sea offer cosmetic research generous ingredients of effective active substances extracted from Mediterranean plants. These precious extracts are true concentrates of natural bioactive substances, antioxidant, anti-aging, revitalizing and elasticizing effects that are the basis of nutrient oils, natural waxes and essential oils of the island-inspired cosmetic line and produced by C.T.S. Cosmetics s.r.l.
Six are the products of the Mediterran facial line for all skin types that use precious active substances and natural ingredients in the Mediterranean area, representing the main thread of the whole line: from the extract of the elder to the effect astringent to the emollients and nutrients of argan oil, olive oil and shea butter, revitalizing cherry water to antioxidant rosemary extract, soothing chamomile water to hydrated hyaluronic acid.
Natural cleansing milk with essential rose oil removes impurities by keeping intact the hydro-lipid film of the skin that remains hydrated, elastic and more tonic. At the same time sweet almond oils, organic and olive argan, along with rosemary and elderberry extracts help eliminate harmful external agents that obstruct the natural cellular oxygenation.
The new high-quality cosmetic anti-age treatment that delivers naturalness and well-being on the skin also includes day-to-day moisturizing cream and naturally re-balancing cream, rich emulsions that provide an immediate and constant global moisturizing action. Mediterran Day Cream, besides giving the skin a correct and constant level of hydration, giving it freshness and softness, also contains protective sunscreens, while Mediterran Night Cream retains the skin at the end of the day combining a mixture of valuable vegetable oils with active ingredients natural traits from vegetable waxes of nutritious flowers.
I have tested on my skin the natural, rich and creamy regenerating mask that made me soft, clean and regenerated thanks to the complex of vegetable oils and essential rose oil that help to repair, moisturize and revitalize the epidermis.
For a shock treatment, perhaps to lighten the signs of tiredness after a long journey, ideal is Mediterran Oil Non Oil, based on sweet almond oils, olive, organic argan and essential rose: a night&day silky fluid 100% natural with highly nutritious, soothing and anti-aging properties that helps re-activate the natural process of producing skin lipids.
A lightweight, quick-absorbing formula, suitable for preventing dehydration by the presence of a calibrated mixture of hyaluronic acid, is that of natural regenerating serum, which gives my face a smooth and fresh look.
These products. But do we want to know who’s behind? Director of the young company is Tommaso Orazi, son or better grandchild of art. In 1938, his grandfather founded the Tocco Magico, an Italian company that for years, and still today, imposes its way of making cosmetics to international companies such as L’Oreal and Wella. With this experience of four generations and a grim love for the sea and his land, Tommaso decides to create a complete line of skin-care that not only pays tribute to the Island of Giglio but creates a mix of the fruit of the teachings of his ancestors, innovation and a green vision.
Acqua del Giglio Products do not contain parabens, paraffins, silicones, alcohol, animal substances, sulphates, nanomaterials, ethyl alcohol, PEG, monoethanol / diethanol / triethanol amine, propylene glycol, allergens, synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances and none are tested on animals: the only animal derived substance is beeswax that does not involve the suffering or the suppression of any animal. Which makes them ideal for those who are vegan.
But Tommaso does not have enough: “I wanted the customers of Acqua del Giglio to have an emotional reaction not only with regard to the product but also with regard to packaging, using more sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions”. The boxes are recycled and eco-certified and cans, glass and wood made, recall the concept of natural line. And once emptied, they can be re-used in the kitchen as food containers. For this, there is a label on the jar that shows salt, spices and chilli. Will it be a case that we have just experienced that with the red and spicy small vegetable?
The next step of the company led by Tommaso is to move laboratories from Rome to do everything on the island: from the production process to the packaging. “To enhance Giglio and our passions” – he tells us. Surely this choice will suggest the alliance between two beauties: that of the island and that of the skin.
